Parliament backs Renew Europeβs call for European Schools Alliances, opening cross-border opportunities to pupils & teachers, including in rural, remote & disadvantaged schools.
β The European Parliament adopted a resolution calling for tougher EU anti-corruption measures!
We pushed for EU-wide criminalisation of corruption offences, harmonised penalties & strict rules for MEPs & EU officials!

We call for an EU strategy to counter religious entryism that targets our democracies: no EU money for those who reject EU values
While we must not conflate Islam with political Islamism nor fuel racism or xenophobia, our European values are non-negotiable
Elections must be free, fair, & fully lawful
We stand with the people of Serbia in defending democratic integrity and ensuring that the fundamental rights of every citizen are protected, no matter where they live

[email protected], itβs a typo right? We presume that a vast majority of the EPP is siding with us and all other groups in this house to save our European industries. See you at the negotiating table β we hope.
Europe must reset its China compass!
Today the @Europarl_EN adopted a report led by @hildevautmans.bsky.social on EU-China relations.

We strongly condemn recent Russian drone attacks on civilian ships in Bulgaria & Romania's Black Sea economic zones
These reckless strikes threaten πͺπΊ security, maritime trade, and global food supplies
This must be on the agenda of the next #EUCO!
We must stop letting others dictate our energy prices!
Making life more affordable for Europeans means taking charge of our energy supplies.
We choose to invest in European renewables & smart grids to bring the bills down.

Peace will only come with full respect for international law, unhindered humanitarian access and two states living side by side in security with no role for Hamas. 3/3
We also refuse to forget what followed: the Israeli government's disproportionate military response in Gaza has killed more than 73,000 Palestinians according to Gaza's health ministry, including more than 17,000 children according to UNICEF. 2/3
Three years ago, Hamas carried out a horrific terrorist attack on Israel, killing around 1,200 people and taking 251 hostages. Today we light a candle for every victim and stand with their families. 1/3
Important discussions on the latest geopolitical issues.
We had the opportunity to ask High Representative @kajakallas.bsky.social questions about foreign affairs & security policy, and talk about the current issues such as Russia's aggression & hybrid attacks.
Thank you for joining us!
Instead of focusing on differences, the EU should focus on the things it has in common.
The EU needs a bigger EU budget, new member states, institutional reforms, and a truly European approach for a stronger economy.
Ahead of the #EUCO, @gerbrandy.bsky.social calls for: Get it done!
Ahead of the EUCO, our president @valeriehayer.bsky.social made clear: πͺπΊπ¨π³ 360 billion Euro trade deficit with China in 2025: It's time to harden our trade doctrine & economic security πΆEU budget: no drastic cuts & ambitious own resources Stop the delays & act now!
Europe cannot do more with less money.
We ask the EU to strengthen security and defence, support πΊπ¦, invest in competitiveness & research, while supporting farmers and regions.
Priorities need proper funding. The next budget needs choices, scrutiny and a role for @europarl.europa.eu.
The British PM has opened an important debate about the future of EUβUK ties. Europe should take this seriously. Ten years after the referendum, the impact of Brexit is clear. Closer ties come with clear conditions. Any new arrangement has to respect the basic rules of the EU.
EU's relationship with China cannot continue as it is. We must strengthen investment screening & reduce dependence on critical raw materials. We must protect infrastructure from espionage & interference. Importantly, economic interest cannot mean silence on human rights.
We look forward to the new enlargement approach presented later today by our Commissioner @martakos.ec.europa.eu.
New flexibility combined with merit-based access is key for our future.
We welcome signs that Hungary may lift its block on the next step in accession talks with πΊπ¦ and π²π©.
We stand with Jane Doe. We stand with survivors.
Sex without consent is rape. Only yes means yes.
We continue our call for an EU-wide consent-based definition of rape.
