THE REVIEWS ARE IN!

Eagerly snatching up this morning's @theobserveruk.bsky.social like an excitable flapper from a 1930s backstage musical.

You simply don’t get the transgender terror and the government actively working to fuck up the lives of trans people, unless a tiny number of hateful freaks in London can still use their clout to impose horrible things that *they* want, regardless of what the public might think.

People ask me this all the time, so I’ll just say: look at the transgender hate panic, a thing that had no organic element and did not arise from the public, and was instead imposed upon everyone by the world’s most hateful, poisonous and malignant media class.

My new novel THE CRACKS has been named Paperback of the Week in @theobserveruk.bsky.social.

@chrispower.bsky.social says the book 'is consistently light on its feet, blending humour and an awareness of its own cliches alongside genuinely scary moments.'

I love that they've called the new documentary OASIS DON'T LOOK BACK IN ANGER because it seems like that's all they bloody do.

Really glad all the media guys have put their heads together and decided that neurodivergent people are the next group to go after. Fair enough, we've had it far too easy for far too long.

Obviously it'd be nice if our leaders at home said a word about it, but I won't be holding my breath.

There's no coming back from something like this. If it doesn't get stopped, whether by the judiciary or popular disgust, that's it for the US. The fact it can even be suggested openly might be enough, quite honestly.

Really good thread about neurodiversity which also gets at what I feel is at the heart of a lot of the modern crisis - people who are able to update their models of How The World Works vs people who can’t or won’t

They’re live-streaming the execution of the person they think they can get away with doing that to first. It’s a test. If they can do that, they’ll expand the margins of permission.

Bluesky, I am up for an award! You can vote for me! Please vote for me! It's for the "best children's book of the decade". Yes I realise the decade isn't over. Maybe it's counting from 2016 to 2026 or something. Vote Stowell early and vote Stowell often! nationalbooktokens.com/readers-awards

(Obviously I love Delon, though I still think MD is closer to Highsmith's conception)

Rank your Ripleys! I have to say, personally I'd go Damon. I think both the other two are probably better actors, but there's this sort of blankness in him that just works for the character. He's never done anything half as impressive since, anyway.
