@joehall22.bsky.socialWell what ever the cost is, it's still cheaper than what ever Google's paid API would probably be.
@joehall22.bsky.socialThey'd have to charge more than they make on ads for the same results. I don't think many companies would be willing to spend that much, when they can scrape for relatively free.
@joehall22.bsky.socialPrior to this I speculated on which platform would allow it. Truth Social seems obvious, but wouldn't be surprised if it lacked technical infrastructure. X would be the next best case, but even then it risk ad loss. I think ultimiately they just lacked an online venue. www.bbc.com/news/article...

@joehall22.bsky.socialApparently for some weird reason the flu shot hurt more than the covid one. The pharmacist didn't know why, but said that everyone says so.

@joehall22.bsky.socialWhat is the movie that came out before you were born that you’ve watched the most times?
@joehall22.bsky.social@joehall22.bsky.socialI am not sure how the other OS' work now a days, but it's really cool to see that in Ubuntu 26.04 LTS Resolute Raccoon there is a section in the settings control panel called "Wellbeing", where you can set daily screen time limits.
@joehall22.bsky.socialI started the update process for Ubuntu and it notified me to close all applications. And then notified me it could take several hours to be finished. So I guess it's just me my phone and this cup of coffee for my Saturday morning. I guess these are the simple sacrifices we make for system security.
