I'm in this one!

I was thinking I should call a high place "anše" which I believe would be Sumerian for "towards the sky" (inferring from the opening words of the Angalta: "an gal-ta ki gal-še" = "from the great sky to the great earth") but "anše" also means "donkey" which is... less good of a place name.

I tried to do good names this time: - Mari, a historical kingdom in Mesopotamia - Kigal, Sumerian, "great earth" (see: Ereshkigal) - Kurgal, Sumerian, "great mountain" - Mê Balāṭi, Akkadian, "waters of health" - Warad-Nagbu, Akkadian, "servant of Nagbu"

Our character Warad-Nagbu, a rune artificer, came to the village of Kigal to find it destroyed: but no bodies. He determined it to be the work of a demon and set out after it. But the winter was harsh and he couldn't find those plants repellent to demons and so must face it with just his axe...

I'll be a little late tonight, just setting some things up.

I found the scrabble tiles pretty hard going, making so many words out of so few tiles was tricky! Turns out there is a rule for getting new tiles by taking risks - but it's in the campaign chapter, not the one-shot chapter, so I'd not seen it - if I were to play again I'd definitely bring that in.

Hate to do this but I'm going to cancel stream tonight and tomorrow. It's been a pretty busy week and I've not been able to prepare for tomorrow as well as I'd have liked to, and also today I've had a cold or something slowly building up that's just hit me like a brick.

It is here, the contraption - now to tape the dice tray in place so it stays perfect forever.

I got a new keyboard today. Metal body. It's very solid, very heavy, I feel I could beat someone to death with this - which is always what I look for in a piece of tech.

Our magus, Asqudum the Diviner, was a pretty bad guy for much of his life, but after sacrificing a friend for power began to have regrets... he turned things around, started to develop a more positive magic, even got married and had a child - and then at the end, his sins caught up with him.

I also think if they didn't have a semi-real-time chat interface absolutely nobody would be claiming that they were sentient, even if they had exactly the same capabilities.
