"Citified" is an amazing public service, and I'm proud to be part of it. Also, if you live in Waterloo Region, I wrote about this year's WRDSB trustee candidates to help you vote for the ones who *aren't* Christian Nationalists:

the Vice President of the United States has gone on record citing this man as one of his biggest intellectual influences if you didn't know this, it's probably because for some reason literally no mainstream political media outlets think it's worth mentioning

Love to see the Zionist NYT letting gross antisemitism go unchallenged. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There's a decent argument that this column violates the criminal code prohibition against inciting violence. The thing he's accusing Lewis of is also how Yitzhak Rabin's killer tried to 'justify' his actions - removing other Jews to 'protect' the Jewish people. This is sick, and a shanda.

The National Post is using language that seems wildly irresponsible and dangerous here

Citing ancient “Jewish law,” it labels Avi Lewis as a “rodef”

The ultranationalist extremist who assassinated Yitzhak Rabin rationalized his killing on the same basis:

www.theguardian.com/world/2020/o...

None of this applies, however, when a Jewish person presents a clear and present danger to the Jewish community. When that happens, Jewish thought is much more forceful: you must prevent the perpetrator from
causing harm.

Jewish law developed two character sketches to describe such scenarios. The first is known as a "mosar" — a Jewish person who informs to oppressive
authorities, potentially leading to the imprisonment, torture or death of community members. The second, called a "rodef," refers to a Jew who is actively pursuing another with the intent to harm or kill them. In both scenarios, the law is clear that a Jew is duty-bound to step in. Protecting the community and its members is the most important thing. It was around then that Yigal Amir, an earnest law student, made up his mind to kill the prime minister. Later he would insist he was not swayed by extremist rabbis; he had reached his own decision that Rabin - through his willingness to cede territory and to allow the creation of a Palestinian Authority, with its own armed police force - was a rodef and therefore a legitimate target. He got a weapon easily enough. With his brother, Amir was working on the creation of an anti-Palestinian militia. Nor was access difficult; on at least three occasions before the rally, Amir attended public events where Rabin was present. He was waiting for the right moment: he didn't want to shoot and miss.

"There is currently no public evidence linking Ward to the pro-Palestine movement or any views about Israel or Zionism." Blaming the Belleville attack on antizionists is NONSENSICAL.

On the *same day* the Cornell Seven drugged and raped Jane Doe, Cornell banned four students (including the President of Cornell JVP) from campus for three years for nonviolent, pro-Palestine protests. The same Cornell officials let the rapists off with apology essays.

I like that in becoming a nazi, you get glowing coverage as a brave iconoclast, and then when you stop being a nazi, you’re get glowing coverage as a brave dissident. Money coming and going. Only way you lose is having normal opinions like “racism bad” bsky.app/profile/trac...

OK, Washington Post, enlighten me. What is the bright side of being a Nazi?

Washington Post headline and subhead: "She helped lead a far-right internet movement. Then it turned on her. Inspired by female conservative influencers, Amy Dangerfield worked to become one of Nick Fuentes’s model 'groypettes.' A vicious fight left her grappling with the dark side of far-right fame."
