MAINE! yes yes yes!
I'm so excited for this! Come to Maine to sign books and chat with us please? Nobody ever does and we're just a short bus ride from Boston...
My poem "Swimming the Witch," about how systems of power often create the very things they are attempting to quell, is now free to read at @trollbreathmag.bsky.social -- just in time for spooky season! I hope you enjoy!

This really is wonderful fuel for our rage right now!
Thanks, Formerly! You gave me great feedback!
Thanks so much! I'm honored.
Thank you! Me too!
And here it is! Cover reveal of my novel coming out May 18, 2027. Art by the wonderful Haley Wakefield, text treatment by @joshsutphin.com and published by @shirakipress.com, where you can pre-order.
Waddya waddya waddya think?
You can find her work at: haleywakefield.com/about
Haley Wakefield is an amazing artist, and also a scuba diver, so she was the perfect person to design the cover for A Planet for Reluctant Revolutionaries, my debut sci-fi novel coming out in May (but pre-orderable now). Please please please take a moment to admire it!
I'd be interested to know what the careless wish was!
Is this what you're trying to say? Arthur will be killed by the Circle of Wizards if he doesn't learn to control his anger, but his rage fuels his search for the evil sorcerer? if so, you might want to say that more clearly. Also, rather than his orphan status, you might want to say his age.
This one also has a vagueness problem. I don't understand the significant of the scale in billowing sleeves, nor can I really picture them. Also, the stakes aren't as clear as they are in the emoji one.
This one is missing the groundhog day nature of the trap for the suitors and that aspect is really cool. Also the 'power of the sea pulsing agains the shores and in their veins' is too vague to really give a sense of the story.
This one of the 3 pitches is the most clear and compelling to me (even though I found the emojis distracting). I love the loom splintering and releasing the suitors. The only thing I don't quite get from any of them is the Lady MacBeth reference. Maybe this one should have a different X with Odyssey?
