rather than always being afield due to his slightly reduced hearing; his clan lives in the snowy mountains, so a lot of noise was already quieter. he still did help with regular duties, but usually was with a fellow warder.

would be wax build up... so he'd have to make extra sure to clean his ears (not just brushing the ear fur). the lop ears happened due to developmental issues, not genetics, but he's just always been used to it. as a wood-warder, his duties more often involved making medicines and poisons,

so i imagine that his loved ones or the scions will use it for him if they have to talk to him at a distance. idk how hearing aids would work in eorzea? similar to linkshells but different? maybe he gets them at some point (or sth similar), eg bone-conducting ones. another issue due to the lop ears

(mini 🧵) since he has lop ears, phel technically does have weaker hearing. unlike IRL lops, his ears do rotate out a TINY bit (not completely flat against his head), but i imagine things are still a bit muffled (like wearing earmuffs). he already uses some sign language due to his muteness,

Everything I make is off my console and vanilla! I enjoy the challenge and it feels rewarding when the vision plays out the way I wanted it to
