I do think the s19 two part finale works really well as the catharsis of all that, they did tie it up well I thought, but still.

Extra judicial kidnapping of a suspect, there's the illegal organ harvesting from a child whose parents didn't want to donate, the Alex return episode, etc. Part 33 would've fit much better in s19 as a culmination of all of that, like Liv finally snapping. But that's not where they put it.

What's interesting is that s20 is one of the 2 chernuchin seasons but 19 is the one where he really tried to focus on the question of justice vs the law. There is a thread throughout that season of Liv struggling to decide whether to enforce the law or follow her own feelings. It starts with Fin's+

That's an interesting point. Bc Liv's struggle would make more sense if she was new or if it was s15-16. Putting it at that point in the show does beg the question of why is Liv struggling so much with this particular case when it's not her first rodeo. I hate Rollins in it but I usually do so 🤷🏼‍♀️
