Don't invite the Tag of Shame. Yard waste can only be collected from the green curbside cart and paper bags. Organics in plastic bags can't be composted and won't be collected in Arlington County.

Black plastic yard-waste bags piled at a curb bearing stickers that read "NO YARD WASTE IN PLASTIC BAGS ACCEPTED," indicating that yard waste in plastic bags is not allowed for pickup.

Shelve those exotic recycling aspirations. If there's not a specific bin for it (glass, metal cans, paper, cardboard) at the County drop-off location, don't leave it behind. That's dumping (a crime) and it won't get recycled. buff.ly/7lsxt4U
