Thank you to Senator Harckham and Assemblymember Slater for working together to make this designation a reality, and to Eugene Lang for his tireless advocacy and leadership in seeing this effort through.
This lasting tribute recognizes the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of the men and women from Westchester who were wounded in service to our nation. It will serve as a daily reminder that the freedoms we enjoy came at a tremendous cost.
I was honored to join Senator Pete Harckham, Assemblymember Matt Slater, Purple Heart Recipient Eugene Lang and members of the Military Order of the Purple Heart Chapter 21 for the dedication of a portion of Route 35 as the Westchester County Purple Heart Highway.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and shared their perspective. These conversations help us better understand what our nonprofit partners are seeing on the ground and where the needs are greatest.

I joined them in New Rochelle to celebrate this important milestone and recognize the Westchester County Heroes who were honored for their contributions to our communities. For 71 years, the Westchester Section of the National Council of Negro Women has been bringing women together around service and leadership.
The day brought together students and community leaders for important conversations about advocacy and leadership. Thank you to Sister to Sister International for bringing everyone together and for continuing to invest in the next generation.
Always amazing to see young people being given the space to learn and use their voices. I enjoyed joining Sister to Sister International for their Day of Action, Education & Recognition at New Rochelle High School.
Congratulations to Local 628 on 85 years, and thank you for everything you continue to do for Yonkers and its residents!
I was glad to join Yonkers Firefighters Local 628 for their 85th Annual Dinner Dance at the Westchester Children’s Museum. It was a great night catching up with so many familiar faces and spending time with the men and women who serve the Yonkers community every day.
Thank you to everyone who walked and showed their support. Every person who showed up helped raise awareness and support the work toward better care, resources and research.
So many families across Westchester know firsthand the impact Alzheimer’s can have on a loved one. I joined the Alzheimer’s Association at SUNY Westchester Community College for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
I was grateful to be among this year’s honorees and receive the Legacy in Leadership and Public Servant Award. Thank you to NY HALEO for having me, and congratulations to everyone recognized!
A great night in New Rochelle with the New York Hispanic American Law Enforcement Organization. Their Gala of Heroes brought together law enforcement and public safety professionals to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and recognize some truly dedicated people.
Local elections matter just as much as the big ones, and this event was a great reminder of how much support is behind this team heading into November.
