"That had to feel so, so, so, so, so good for Seguin, who looked frustrated throughout the game tonight. And, to be honest, it felt dang good for all of us watching." @DLLS_Stars

Dallas lost in the shootout, but they stole a point late and gave us all some excitement after a fairly dull game through 59 minutes. Next up, a home-and-home with Colorado.

Robertson got everything he wanted on that move. Just missed.

That has to feel so freakin good for Tyler Seguin. Got the chance out there 6-on-5 and scored the tying goal with less than 30 seconds to go.

Radek Faksa will not return with a lower-body injury. Not sure if this is from the initial shot block in the first period or something else.

Jake Oettinger has moved into 4th in franchise history with a shutout streak of 186:55 and counting. Just Belfour, Maniago, and Bishop ahead of him. He can catch Maniago with just a couple more minutes in the third.

Nick Robertson is 5-3-0 against his brother Jason in the NHL. Felt like the Stars would never beat Toronto for a while. Here are the Robertson head-to-head stats, courtesy of the Penguins' official site.

Is Ditka driving? I gotta go with the Bear Bus. RIP to the legend, Mike Ditka

Brat Burger or Brat Trick? @DLLS_Stars

Oettinger finished the game with his second consecutive shutout. He has not allowed a goal in 146:55, which ranks 10th in franchise history. Ben Bishop holds the franchise record with 233:04 of shutout time in 2018-19, while Oettinger's best was 154:20 in 2023-24.

Jake Oettinger's last goal against came about 13 minutes into the second period of opening night vs STL.

The Stars will not be shut out on the power play this season. Rantanen and Johnston draw a crowd, and Hintz opens the hips and rips one far side over the blocker off the rush. Beauty. Stars steamrolling the Sabres 4-0 in the 2nd.

Oofa-Pekka Luukkonen. 2-0 Stars.

Huge play from Johnston with a stick lift in tight after Oettinger spit a Tage Thompson shot back into the slot.

“It’s really a simple recipe... I say to our guys all the time, it’s the best league in the world, but it’s really the simplest league in the world." @DLLS_Stars

Likely the shot block that hurt Joel Kiviranta… friendly fire on a clapper by Tyler Myers. Looks like it hit his raised left foot as he tried to get out of the way. This was only a few minutes into the game, and Kiviranta still played 10:37 and scored a goal.

Joel Kiviranta will not go on the trip after blocking a shot vs SJS. Gulutzan said they will know more today, but hope he only misses a week.

Stars practice lines: * No Kiviranta Steel - Johnston - Rantanen Robertson - Hintz - Benn Hryckowian - Hyry - Seguin Bäck - Faksa - Blackwell Lindell - Heiskanen Harley - Lundkvist Bichsel - Myers Capobianco Oettinger DeSmith

Heavy optional skate with only Capobianco and Blackwell skating in Frisco today.

5-0 🙌
