I mean the whole audio track though. Everyone sounds like they are talking at the same distance and loudness. Even the soft spoken (mother?) character is just as loud as the grandma when she’s impassioned.

Please lord can Austin Abrams never bulk up. He’s perfect. I genuinely loved his shirtless scenes in Resident Evil and Whalefall, and if his rise in popularity ends up coupling with body dysmorphia and looksmaxxing I’m going to cry

Seeing some reviews of people saying that Austin Abrams can’t carry the movie while talking through a respirator and wide-eye close-up emoting, and I’m here to tell you they’re wrong. He is absolutely a star on the rise and I’m here for him.

Friends asked about our plans & we said You Can See Everything. This led to us trying to describe Nathan Fielder, starting with Nathan for You & that just made them uncomfortable so then we described The Rehearsal & that made it worse. This film will succeed in spite of its biggest fans I know it

From the Roger Ebert .com review of Whalefall I agree. It was extremely well done and imo better than the book in major part because of how well visualized it was. It also added a few elements that made the heavy handed metaphor a bit more interesting to think about. Very squelchy. Very fun.
