Oh right the actual book. If the inspo was a chance to live your life again, it kinda failed to deliver on the premise? But at the same time it does a lot of other cool nice things and is a good story I enjoyed. I disagree with many criticisms but maybe too many Cosmere connections glossed over.

On a mostly unrelated tangent, it's got me thinking about writers writing about writing, and the meaning and subjectivity of art. Specifically a) people who are unmoved by great art b) artists who fear/know they're good but never great Giving me some ideas for depth in a novel I'm planning. (🧵 2/2)

"GTA VI info: Drug use is frequent and prominent with the player being able to partake in drug use with others and to use illegal drugs directly from their inventory. Most notably, cocaine can be carried around by the player and snorted directly from their hand at any time." why would I do that

Spooky month: thinking about how to make "monster that feeds on fear" trope nastier.
Usually they maximum scare and then kill you. So scared you die, taste better when afraid, etc.
What if it doesn't kill you, keeps you alive and scares you regularly, to keep the food source going?
