In retrospect this would have been the way smarter option. I was just stubborn and wanted to organize by year and type (Personal, Patreon, Commission). My early years of doing this I ended up getting too folder happy and I paid for it with digging it all out to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Excellent time to remind people of the ol' 3-2-1 backup strategy: at least 3 copies, at least 2 different medias (PC and external drive/cloud), and at least 1 offsite (external drive outside your home, possibly crypted files). And if you're not using cloud, then backups every few months at minimum.

Still need to do more but I'm just like exhausted. I think I had like six different folders of salvaged, unorganized file copies from The Bad Times. Will feel better about it later, but man, my brain feels like soup after making sure newer copies didn't get overwritten for hours on end xvx'

If you haven't already, back up your work and important files to whatever you can feasibly do. If your luck is anything like mine, your tech will just up and die on you on a whim for the fun of it, no matter the supposed quality. Don't trust just one solution, back that shit UP!

Spent the last few hours untangling and reorganizing my old tangled mess of folders into more neat, readable organization. Probably one of the most stress inducing and honestly pretty sour experiences in recent memory. Copies upon copies of the same thing, over and over. Yet more just lost to time.

Apologies for the lack of streams the last few days, been stuck in No Internet Hell the last two days. Both hardware and ISP related. Luckily we had an old router still that'll carry till we get a replacement, and the ISP seems to be finished with whatever the hell they're doing. Fingers crossed! 💖
