KM3NeT is a neutrino telescope with two detectors - ARCA and ORCA - at the bottom of the Mediterranean Sea. It is also an international consortium of research institutes and university groups collaborating to operate the two detectors - www.km3net.org
From the ice of Antarctica to the depths of the Mediterranean Sea, we look forward to continuing this exploration together.

Todays prize is also a recognition of the importance of probing the cosmos with neutrinos: a scientific mission shared by IceCube, KM3NeT and several other projects around the world.
Over the years he has been, and continues to be, the driving force who motivated, led and supported the IceCube experiment that opened the door to neutrino astronomy.
Congratulations, Francis! 🎉 The KM3NeT Collaboration sends its warmest congratulations to Dr. Francis Halzen on being awarded the 2026 Nobel Prize in Physics.
Today we celebrate World Teacher’s Day 2026.
We pay tribute to all teachers for shaping the future of society and appreciate their vital role educating future talents for research.
#KM3NeT profits from that every day!
Happy World Teacher’s Day!
Huge thanks to the offshore and onshore teams and to everyone involved in the construction!

A record sea campaign at the KM3NeT ARCA site brought a dozen new detection units online, together with two new submarine junction boxes and an upgraded acoustic positioning system. Despite challenging weather, the operation set a new efficiency record for KM3NeT. ARCA now counts 62 detection units.
Last week our #astronomy working group met in Istanbul to discuss the status and future plans of our analyses with presentations, discussions and fruitful working sessions.
Thanks to the local group for taking care of the organisation!
At this year’s edition of RICAP conference in Rome we presented the latest scientific results of KM3NeT and an update of detectors performance, strengthening collaborations with multi-messenger facilities.
Congratulations to all speakers and participants!
