The mass shootings in the Babyn Yar ravine began 85 years ago. Backed by the Wehrmacht, members of the SS and the police murdered over 33,000 Jews within two days. The Nazis killed about 100,000 people there in total. The victims also included Sinti and Roma, Soviet POW, and alleged partisans. #otd

Mala Tribich survived the Holocaust as a child. Two years after the war ended, she was reunited with her brother Ben in Great Britain. They were the only members of their family to survive. Mala has been active as a witness to the Holocaust since the 1980s. We wish her a very happy 96th birthday!

We are deeply saddened by the death of Yehuda Aharon Vidovsky. The oldest Holocaust survivor living in Israel passed away last Sunday aged 107. Born in Turek in Poland in 1919, Yehuda Aharon Vidovsky survived Łódź & Auschwitz. The National Socialists murdered his parents and almost all his siblings.
