"The officials... did not specify who in the White House made the decision..."

Sorry... how many people are there "inside" this White House who ultimately decide what orders to give the Pentagon? I was led to believe the number was one (1)?

Yesterday was actually the one-year anniversary of filing the final copy on THE DREAMER’S PATH. For David Lynch fans, I honestly and humbly believe it’s a playful yet eye-opening new frame through which to consider the fullness of what “the art life” really meant to him. 📕 bit.ly/4rsFNn9 #DavidLynch

David Lynch as Gordon Cole in both TWIN PEAKS: FIRE WALK WITH ME (1992) and TWIN PEAKS season three (2017), as shown on the cover of Brent Simon’s award-winning book THE DREAMER’S PATH.

Fourteen years ago, October 12, 2012, David Lynch’s “Memory Film” debuted. Does THE DREAMER’S PATH: TWIN PEAKS AND DAVID LYNCH THE ACTOR, which provides a new frame through which to consider Lynch’s commitment to “the art life,” tell its story? 📕 You bet! bit.ly/46WL5z1 #DavidLynch #TheDreamersPath

A still from David Lynch’s 2012 short “Memory Film,” in which he also appears. Here, in profile, he gazes leftward but with his right hand covering his eyes, as a floating animated Santa Claus is X-ed out on the screen.

I feel deeply seen by this. The firehose of slightly tweaked, back-clapping copy you originally wrote yourself, fused to act-now! offers that somehow still remain vague in their specific pitch… it’s incredible.

Burdened with a pointless and erratic time-skipping structure and intrusive narration that occasionally breaks the fourth wall, the lost and confused TRUST ME, I’M A DOCTOR shines no new lights on either Anna Nicole Smith or its orbiting subject. Twenty-six years ago, October 8, 2000, David Lynch finished a two-day shoot in downtown Los Angeles for his Sony PlayStation 2 “The Third Place” commercial, and provided the voice of a most unusual character. THE DREAMER’S PATH details this and *every* onscreen Lynch performance! 🦆 📕 bit.ly/46WL5z1

Fourteen years ago, October 7, 2012, in THE CLEVELAND SHOW’s season four premiere, David Lynch’s Gus the Bartender placed a wooden woman’s body in his car trunk. Does THE DREAMER’S PATH tell the story of this and every Lynch acting role? YOU BET IT DOES! 📕 bit.ly/46WL5z1 #DavidLynch #TheDreamersPath

“By the time I’m done with you, you’re going to be a canoe!” says Gus the Bartender to Eunice, the stolen wooden wife of President William Henry Harrison, on THE CLEVELAND SHOW’s “Escape From Goochland,” which originally aired on October 7, 2012.

I loved connecting with @filmobsessive.com’s Christopher Rhoten to discuss my book THE DREAMER'S PATH, which gives readers a fresh new perspective on David Lynch’s enormous creative canon. Great questions, and a fun chat — read and share! 📕 filmobsessive.com/film/film-ne... #DavidLynch #TwinPeaks

A highly worthwhile, very engaging (and low-key enraging) documentary! If you want to leaven your bewilderment and anger with some laughs while gaining a better understanding not just of the big cryptocurrency grift but indeed our modern-day scam culture more broadly, this is a great place to start.

Happy National Coffee Day! ☕️ Does that make it a great day to celebrate by taking a deep sip and ordering a copy of THE DREAMER’S PATH: TWIN PEAKS AND DAVID LYNCH THE ACTOR, featuring more than 70 interviews unpacking every onscreen Lynch performance? Yes, yes it does! bit.ly/46WL5z1 #DavidLynch

Nine years ago today, September 29, 2017, the last starring role of the great Harry Dean Stanton released theatrically. For THE DREAMER'S PATH, I was honored to speak about LUCKY with director John Carroll Lynch, Ron Livingston, and many others, and tell the story of its production! 📕 bit.ly/4rsFNn9

Fifteen years ago, September 25, 2011, in THE CLEVELAND SHOW episode “BFFS,” David Lynch’s Gus the Bartender opined he thought he had dibs on Meg Griffin, given that “she’d been in the lost and found box for over a week.” THE DREAMER’S PATH has ALL the stories about Lynch as an actor! bit.ly/4rsFNn9

It’s true: never stop learning. The best writing, for me at least, is almost always a way to synthesize roiling feelings, plus new interests, curiosities and interpretations of the world, with all its people, personalities, perspectives, and messy contradictions.

NEW: @apnews.com confirms that ICE has begun electronically "disappearing" people in the agency's custody who have final orders of removal.

As of last week, anyone jailed by ICE with a final order of removal will NOT appear in the ICE Online Detainee Locator System, making them effectively vanish.

Stay tuned for more on this from mainstream reporting hopefully later today, but Bob's got the gist of it; last week, it appears that ICE began disappearing people from the Online Detainee Locator System the moment they get a final order of removal. Yes, this is as deeply screwed up as it sounds.

On September 13, 2012, David Lynch appeared in the first of two LOUIE episodes. For my book THE DREAMER'S PATH, I spoke with every actor with whom Lynch shared a scene in the show. Their wonderful stories breathe life into this loving examination of EVERY onscreen Lynch performance! bit.ly/4rsFNn9 📕
