I made an FAQ page to answer common questions about #NovelNovember, including ai stance. It's a short list at the moment, so please keep the questions coming!
There are two types of magic in my world. One is "environmental" magic which is where all the messed up monsters come from. The other is basically alchemy: using ingredients, especially monster parts, to make everything from antidotes to bombs.
The inevitability of assumptions. I try describing rural Australia, and readers assume it's post apocalyptic.
Mostly pre-industrial, but there's a portal where modern day tech occasionally falls through, along with monsters.
I'd say "world I've created" except I have been extremely slack on world building. More like "world I'm creating as I go."
Excitement is one emotion that can drive motivation. It's useful, but it's not the only driving force.
Do it! The community is still here, we're just a little less organised.
Time to get to organising all the runaway tidbits of this thing! Going to need all the space I can get, so living room has been sacrificed.

Yay sticky notes! My walk of plot points is... distressingly small this close to November, but it exists
Yes exactly! It also has git integration, which I use for version control/constant backups.
Text generation is a completely different activity to drafting, and it's an activity where hitting a word count goal is trivial. So, it doesn't make sense for 'prompt engineers' to participate in a word count challenge.
AI stance: novel-november.com is intended as a writing challenge, NOT a text generation challenge.
As a programmer and writer, I attempted to recreate the features I liked from the old website, including a forum, word tracker, and trophies.
VS code! I write with markdown, so # marks a heading and ** marks italics. It looks ugly while I'm writing (which helps me not get bogged down in formatting) but then I can put it in preview/reading mode where it's displayed nicely.
I admire your dedication. I still haven't edited my first NaNoWriMo win from over 5 years ago 😅
I will be writing about monsters! I haven't written much in the last couple years, so my goal is to get back into the habit, even if what I write isn't any good.
Prince Aaron: breeding. He is better than the common people because of his bloodline, upbringing, and refinement. He rarely runs in to people as noble as he is, but he appreciates knowing their lineage regardless.
TBD, I haven't figured out an ending yet 😅
