Having read the book, I will compliment it as a tremendous piece of academic-style work, and a lot of my questions were answered, though with plenty more still to be explored or said in the future if need be. Glad the Commemoration section wasn't as intense as I worried it might get.

I acquired #StarWars #StarPilots a few days early, and I want to firmly congratulate @chriskempshall.bsky.social on yet another excellent piece of Star Wars worldbuilding and academia. I loved it, and will be sitting with some of its messages, hints and more for the coming days! 10/10!

My greatest thanks to @afelipeart.bsky.social for bringing to life my female #Hawks from #StarWars #ZeroCompany. The game's character creator is truly stellar, and it has been fun to see all the different Hawks' and Custom Operators fan have built over the past few weeks. #Togruta #Fanart

I had an interesting thought when looking at this symbol. Consider, the middle of it looks like a flower, with four main pedals forming off of it, surrounded by aggressive spikes...perhaps...a grim sort of rose? Could this design have influenced the visual of the Grim Rose from #StarWars 2020?

The new characters are a blast, it was nice to catch up with the returning characters, and I think this story raises a lot of interesting questions for future stories to answer, or for someone rewatching Andor to think about as they binge the series! 2/2

I had a blast reading @rebeccaroanhorse.bsky.social's latest #StarWars book, #EdgeoftheAbyss! EotA is an intriguing peek into events just before the first season of #Andor, that looks forward to that series, but also looks back to other media and pre-existing storytelling in the franchise.- 1/2

Can you cite a specific example of something from a game like Zero Company or JFO which breaks the canon of the universe? I've found the story mode of the multiplayer titles and the content of the story-driven games to strongly adhere to the universe's canon, to my delight in ZCOM esp.

I'm just contrasting this against the very clear sell for Mask of Fear of "It starts just a few days after Revenge of the Sith. Galactic Empire is brand new, and these three characters you know, plus some you don't, are going to get involved in the events of that first week post-ROTS." 2/2

I find it weird I've not seen a description about what the plot of this book is. I know I can go find the publisher or the book seller summary, but in what little promo the book has seen, there's been no "This is what the core plot is" so I'm a little 🫤 I'll go find out on my own time though! 1/2

A solid little story, but if you listened to Terror on Mustafar, or have engaged in any of the "Tales From..." in the past several years, sadly retreads old ground somewhat. Though it is interesting what this book tells us about Imperial Coruscant, life in the Empire, and Vader's presence.

bsky.app/profile/hist... A bit of a brain blast regarding World War 1 and #StarWars, this post looks at the possibilities for what kinds of stories we could see in the franchise someday as it relates to the Separatists. 12/x

bsky.app/profile/hist... This was the first of several deep dives on the various bits of information and mystery seen in #MaulShadowLord! I encourage people to read all of them, as Janix is a layered, unique locale I hope we learn more about someday. 11/x

bsky.app/profile/hist... Here, I explored some of the potential connections between a character in #StarWars #LowRedMoon and a particularly prominent Nazi. LRM is a great story, and if you enjoyed #StarWarsOutlaws, this is the story for you! 10/x

-consider certain plot developments with those characters, but their presence certainly makes one think about the post-American Civil War tourist trade and how the history of that conflict has been told to future generations. 5/5

-South’s reasons for seceding which have dangerously persisted into the modern day. While we do not see this kind of “revitalization” tourism in ESL, there is a clear nod toward the difficulties involved with Civil War tourism in the appearance of the Civil War Buffs. I leave it to readers to- 4/5

-Charlottesville and Charleston catering to the beauty and sophistication of the Antebellum South, and the planter class, while often largely downplaying the plight of the enslaved or those freed after the end of slavery. We also saw significant historical revisionism on the Civil War and the- 3/5

After the American Civil War, one of the ways the South rebuilt itself was through tourism, by making the “Old South” a commercial, successful product to be sold to people across the Western world, especially Europe. This succeeded and remains successful to this day, with sites in places like- 2/5

For our final discussion on tourism and its connections to the #StarWarsBook #StarWars #EyesLikeStars, we should look at how this story nods toward post-Civil War American tourism, due to previous associations made between the 30-year time gap and the era of Reconstruction.- 1/5

Keep talking with her, there’s some Shu-Toran stuff she’ll eventually mention that certainly isn’t ordinary.

We know they’re welcoming on Batuu, but we should still thoroughly think about how other worlds might have a more complicated relationship with the NR, and what that nation’s tourists are communicating during this era full of the importance of influence and the formation of boundaries. 7/7
