Instead of allowing it to further concentrate wealth, influence, and surveillance, open corporate silos and simultaneously build public capacity.

@torbatschow.de3) Timely de-indexing: Even after NCII-domains are seized, they still appear in search indexes. The delay between content or domain deletion and de-indexing is well-researched and simply should not entail a many-months-long process.
@torbatschow.de2) Shift the burden away from victims: allowing regulators acting on their own initiative, collective redress and measuring pre-emptive enforcement actions rather than counting post-hoc takedowns.

1) Make the ecosystem accountable: Payment processors, app stores, hosters, etc. should face due-diligence duties towards nudifier apps.
@torbatschow.deAnd it's not only the platforms that host NCII that are the problem, @benmshultz.net finds: there are "gateway pages" that combine public photographs and official portraits on profile-like websites for politicians – just to add "AI Undress Anybody" buttons. A whole ugly ecosystem has evolved.

Every 1 in 6 women MEPs is targeted with AI-faked sexualized images today! And as if that wasn't enough, it's shamefully hard for victims to even get the content removed, let alone the perpetrators be prosecuted.
@torbatschow.de"Wanna see your politician in fake p0rn?" There's a lot of ugly money made in non-consensual intimate imagery. Even worse: it's used to intimidate people in exposed 🇪🇺 positions. Many websites don't host it – but put links to NCII generators right next to politicians' portraits. 🤷Not a problem? 🧵
