Schedule flexibility, plus for my very specific circumstance, I’m grandfathered in to be allowed to be fully remote - the trade-off, I think, is that even if I wanted to go full-time, I would have to move at least a couple hundred miles to be closer to the office

Hell of a thing being a Millennial, I think my entire adulthood has been marked by one economic disaster after another I would still say I’m endlessly fortunate just because my fiance and I are able to eke out a (more or less) comfortable middle class life. God forbid if we wanted kids though

If the economy goes sour enough, I know I’ll be one of the first ones out the door. Even if I was full-time W2, that still doesn’t insulate you from the constant layoffs everywhere. I wanna quit to focus on VO some day, and honestly, that’s a calming thought vs. trying to work a stable job forever

It’s times like this I think about the old 1990s Matrix/Fight Club philosophy of “man, the worst thing for your soul is selling out as a corporate stooge forever” Which like, yeah, I’m inclined to agree, but it’s crazy to think that’s not even really a safe option anymore

I have yet again, at my day job as a contractor, outlasted another full time employee I believe I will likely absorb at least a portion of their job description This has been going for about 8 years now Fingers crossed it can keep going a while longer

A beautiful moment about this whole thing was when I looked at my fiance, whom I love very much, and we both agreed that neither of us are excited We’re on the same wavelength about this so I imagine it will be fine lol

Getting married in less than two weeks, feels weird

I find myself serially distracted by other games I finally got through the marriage routes I wanted in Fields of Mistria I’m on Chapter 7 of OG Sakura Wars And I’ve already beaten a couple Story Routes of Aquapazza But I gotta beat it. That’s just the rule of it lol
