my friend actually got one from someone there once that was complicated and they were like “hey would you like to split the job? i’ll do half” and then proceeded to dm the client to ask them to go with them for the whole thing instead…

in similar fashion to ur posts, my friend is in a discord where anytime anyone posts about advertising their comms, this one guy posts their own ad less than 30 seconds after. they do this every single time anyone else posts. there’s no limit/rules so it’s “fine” but like…. real turf war energy

i’m diving theough the “main story” because every thing unlocks new options so i’m hoping i can finish most of it and then do what i a tually bought it for: finish outfit designs for my fancy in-comic party LOL

it’s soo osatisfying because your final dress always looks 10x better than your plans. i’ve been pretty self-indulgent with overspending and so it’s been fun trying to compromise on pattern pieces and making compromises hehe

i have this white deskmat. i spilled something on it 4 months ago and washed it, and forgot about it while leaving it to dry. i finally put it back on my desk, and so now have spilled my drink all over it TWICE IN THE SPAN Of 24 HOURS. there have been no desk incidents prior. it's gotta be cursed

i would love to make an ego stroking / art brush strokes group joke but it just sounds really masturbatory no matter how i word it but i'm sure you can envision the intent. "jerk off with your friends! i mean make comics."

i make stuff for myself but i think people need other people. it's encouraging

oh one other thing... i like talking to other comic-making people (like you). it's lonely. sometimes if i don't 100% feel like doing much, i will ping a few people I know to hang out on discord and stream art and things just kind of magically get done while we hang out and compliment each other
