To put it another way, icymi pretty much the whole world hates us atm. Gov sponsored or not, there are many groups ppl out there who wouldn’t dare travel to our country right now cuz of that. Maybe not a fair comparison, but if there’s anything 🦅 has shown to the world, it’s that life ain’t fair.

In order to see who you’ve friended, go to any video & hit the share button. They’ll appear at the top of the share sheet. You can block people by long pressing on their icon. Unfortunately, blocking is currently the ONLY way to prevent this. But the link remains;if you unblock them they will return

And the ONLY way to turn it off? You have to BLOCK them completely on Youtube. So now I have a bunch of random people AND my actual friends blocked because of this dark pattern. Tired of these grimey ass tech companies this shit needs to be illegal.

It’s super annoying because as soon as you click a link with the tracking at the end: ?is=gobbledygoop …No matter you what you do, you become “friendship with the person & it does a while bunch of dumb stuff like add them to your share sheet, turn comments on a video into a DM thread with them etc
