@riffsandmeaning.bsky.socialGreat to see Post-Catastrophe Film taking centre in Toronto.
@riffsandmeaning.bsky.socialThis was a fun little early morning activity. I really do owe Jive Bunny a debt for introducing so many artists in one song. This is basically 9 years of age to 22. The era that shaped me.
@riffsandmeaning.bsky.socialGood call on the King Crimson record.

@riffsandmeaning.bsky.socialI had great fun talking (again) with Shawn at RadioFWD about my book on Point Break. This station is doing good work for the community of Scarborough, Ontario. @utsc.utoronto.ca
@riffsandmeaning.bsky.socialHer Private Hell, your personal hell, huh?
@riffsandmeaning.bsky.socialI was a guest on the awesome In Film We Trust Podcast. An excellent conversation about Point Break that ran to almost the running time of the film itself.

@riffsandmeaning.bsky.socialThe American Way (aka Riders of the Storm, 1986) poster art. Not a brilliant film, but a very satirical take on Reagan America and political discourse.
@riffsandmeaning.bsky.socialDescending into hell.
@riffsandmeaning.bsky.socialAnd I thought I'd achieved something with three books in a year.
(Sighs, opens Google docs.)
@riffsandmeaning.bsky.socialFantastic. I'm looking forward to seeing her exhibition at Toronto's AGO in the Spring. Her memoir was excellent.

@riffsandmeaning.bsky.socialBack in 2018 I was launching a book at the @lthanwordsfest.bsky.social when music journalist Everrett True suddenly started spewing a rant from his book Ed Sheeran is Shit. He had him clocked. It's worth a read.
@riffsandmeaning.bsky.socialCanada to become first ever ‘associate member’ of the #EU
"I've seen the future, it's not written
This motion makes a modern love song"
@riffsandmeaning.bsky.socialI wonder if Ed Craven will have the balls to open with "You Need Me, I Don't Need You" from now on.
