Both parties carried out the Northern Territory intervention. Both approve mines and trample on native title. Both allow child removals. Hanson says it out loud, but Australian capitalism has treated Aboriginal communities as inferior for over a century. It’s an indictment on the entire system.

Hanson’s slur that Aboriginal people are a “primitive race” is reprehensible. The politicians condemning her would do well to look in their own backyards. Both parties lock up Black children, neglect and impoverish indigenous communities, and blame Aboriginal people for their own suffering.
