The man with artificial hair, teeth, doctor’s reports, lifts in his shoes, scalp reduction surgery, a girdle, and a painted orange face claims we’re his enemy if we use the word “artificial.”

Aleksander Ceferin, the UEFA president, said he would “lead by example” and not stand more than three terms to set a good example. Now that third term is coming to an end, guess what? Aleksander Ceferin is standing four a fourth term at the same time he has called for better governance at FIFA. 😵‍💫

I've talked about this before, but it is very hard when you see how moral red lines are drawn, and the complete gutting of trans people's civil rights is entirely within an accepted norm and barely remarked upon even by many progressives.

By the most generous interpretation, this shows a public official who has lost sight of in whose interests they are supposed to exercise their authority.

Of course, this didn't stop Manchester City FC from naming a street after one of their great protectors in the council, Sir Howard Bernstein ,while he was still alive.

There was also some fascinating detail in how they responded to our efforts to have a Manchester street named after the emirati rights activist Ahmed Mansoor. The sheer relief when they realised they couldn't because it violated policies on streets only being named after living people.

I didn't, no. Perhaps I should have but was rather worn out from the months and months it took me to get the info via a data access request, which the Council did everything in their power to obstruct and deny.

One thing that has blown me away (two kids in French state schools) is that there's a two-tier system. Where I live most middle class parents send their kids to private schools, which are - in contrast to the UK - generally affordable. I'm assuming the kids protesting aren't from private lycees.
