My original account was suspended with no explanation. This is the new one, but hopefully temporary if I can get the old one back
@barbietheroadie.bsky.socialThe last night of the Opal Mag / Winter Gardens co-headliner tour on Friday night. I went for shooting just in b/w, and I'm quite pleased with the results. More on my Instagram 😎
@barbietheroadie.bsky.socialI did a top 20 for a Bauhaus challenge a few years ago, but can only think of one Peter Murphy song that might fit into my top 10. Will have to give another listen to Tones On Tails and Love & Rockets 😎
@barbietheroadie.bsky.socialA pleasure. Thanks for organising 😎

@barbietheroadie.bsky.socialLast week I did 3 nights of the first week on the co-headliner tour with Winter Gardens and Opal Mag. This week is their final week of the tour, and if you're near one of the venues and like shoegaze, alt-pop, or just enjoy some great upcoming indie bands, they're both worth checking out.

@barbietheroadie.bsky.socialVery sad to hear the passing of Bruno Kramm. I discovered Das Ich around 1991/92, and bought their debut Satanische Verse, and soon after Die Propheten. Sadly I never got to see them live, but do have several albums. Condolences to Stefan, Bruno's family, friends, and fans.
@richards7370.bsky.socialReposted by @barbietheroadie.bsky.socialHi folks, for the last time (apart from the year end poll 😉) it’s time to vote, it’s the big one, #5DebutAlbumsFinal We’ve whittled the albums down to a final 100 (see list to follow), a veritable treat to the eardrums each and every one. Your task, pick your top 5 in order of preference, mine are..
@barbietheroadie.bsky.socialIt has been an absolute delight to follow along and post some of my own outliers too. I hope your family enjoy having you back with them on weekends 😉
Who knows what comes next, but it wouldn't surprise to see you post a #5Singles poll in the future 😂
Thanks again, and take care 😎
@barbietheroadie.bsky.social... and spent a small fortune on new music and gigs. You've helped to spread the word of good music far and wide, as well as reminded us of names and albums some of us had long forgotten, or never even knew existed!
@barbietheroadie.bsky.socialThanks @richards7370.bsky.social for organising these for the past 7+ years. I joined this adventure in early 2020, and started a quest to listen to as many albums as I could, especially those I'd never heard of. I have discovered so many new bands/artists, met so many fine people (online and IRL),
@barbietheroadie.bsky.social1. Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath
2. Joy Division - Unknown Pleasures
3. Marillion - Script For A Jester's Tear
4. New Order - Movement
5. Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine
😎
@barbietheroadie.bsky.socialFaith didn't get through 🤯😭 I know the world is broken, but hadn't thought it was this bad 😥
