TIL > Using a vertical pointing capsule as the collision shape for the player is fairly common in most first person games
anyone up for maintaining libgtop2 so the GNOME "about this system" dialog can stop being a wasteland on ARM systems? https://community.mnt.re/t/luks-decrypt-prompt-invisible-display-off-on-boot/4600/13
@hyperlinkyourheart haha touché
(normal thoughts after a long walk with tina (the dog) in the extended neighboorhood and taking pictures of textures)
what if the movie Pi was not about spirals but about trees
godot (game engine/editor) is absolutely incredible, having lots of fun tinkering with it (on MNT Reform Next w/ Quasar 8550)
@valpackett i don't have a special bringup system, i use the same system that we ship (based on Debian unstable), so my experiences matches what the end users get
thanks to @z3ntu for filing this bug originally btw, first i was trying to find the bug in libllvm22, but it had already been (unsuccessfully) patched there
today i set out to finally have a day off, and then i ended up wanted to look at a PDF, and spent 5 hours in hyperfocus to get papers and evince working on my qcs8550 system. this required fixing a bug in mesa that caused a SIGILL because of disabled SVE on this Cortex-x3, and then another hour […]

mehr "nette leute ohne ai" gruppen wären generell ganz nett wg. mental health
i tried blender and some titles from my steam library (blue prince, metal eden, wolfenstein young blood), they all work
the hardest part of this was figuring out that PCIe MSI was broken because it gets lost somewhere in the gunyah hypervisor (cc @cas). the fix/workaround was to /delete-node/ msi-map, this enables some fallback method for deliverying MSIs that doesn't go through GIC ITS if i understood it correctly.
and then we need an alternative port board with Oculink :3
got an external GPU working today on Quasar 8550 in MNT Reform Next, an Intel Arc A750. works very well. caveat: needs a little hardware mod on first revision MNT Reform Next mainboards, because apparently the SoC can only output a PCIe refclk, not receive one. so the clock synth on the […]
modulino modules look interesting, just the hole grid is a bit weird, apparently 32mm x 16mm...
> Rosette supports one more solver-aided query, which we call angelic execution
and for various ARM MMUs and interrupt controllers
i need something like oh my git! but for PCIe
