@agnesobel.bsky.socialFaustian Deal was written by fooling around with string pizzicatos and spoken words. Similar to [another song from the album] “Jenns’ on the Way”. I was aiming at the feeling of urgency and being your own worst enemy.

@agnesobel.bsky.socialthose who successfully register will be sent a code to unlock access to pre-sale tickets for the show of their choice on the morning of Thursday September 24th before tickets go on-sale at 10am local venue times that same morning.

@agnesobel.bsky.socialthe day has arrived - The Meaning of Flowers is out in the world. these songs no longer belong just to me; they are also yours now. i hope they find a quiet place to settle, and that you find yourself and your experiences reflected somewhere within them.
@agnesobel.bsky.socialyou are only there for the ride and have zero control. still the simplicity of its many forms like the bud or the gemma seed that detaches from a parent plant to grow into something new. we are all each other’s twin.
@agnesobel.bsky.social- later I would add Julian Sartorius’s drum playing as well. not sure this makes sense but let’s call it a song about the bizarre experience or epiphany of biology flowing through you like a 3D micro tapestry of the cosmos.
@agnesobel.bsky.social“Gemini” was developed while tinkering with a harp sound and a collection of Brazilian drum and percussion recordings I had found on my computer. simply cutting and editing away on these drum pieces/samples until it felt like I had something a bit off and chaotic
@agnesobel.bsky.socialwe are only days away - my new album “The Meaning of Flowers” arrives this Friday 🌱 as a final preview into this world before it opens completely, I want to share a piece called “Gemini”.

@agnesobel.bsky.social"Deem Me Now"
this song grew out of a bass synth line that appeared one day in the studio. I have a really hard time explaining this song. right now it’s a personal favourite on the record.

@agnesobel.bsky.social“Tangerine”
saxophone arpeggios are new to me - who knew that they could befriend both celesta and piano arpeggios. bubbly and wondrous 🍊
