The stupid are killing their own children and those who cannot get vaccinated. They should be prosecuted for involuntary manslaughter, just as every politician spreading vaccine lies. I don’t understand why this has not happened yet.

So these people do not understand how outlook or copilot or any other always online software work. Or they do and as I said it’s just corruption. But as they say, do not assume malevolence if it can be explained by simple incompetence.

@environmicrobio.bsky.socialOct 16, 2026, 7:54 PM

It’s likely a combination of incompetence and corruption, ie Microsoft paying universities for this (or offer products cheaper if locked into the system). Worst thing is that everything linked directly to copilot.

Tiefer geht’s immer.

The question was whether results were correctly reported.

@environmicrobio.bsky.socialOct 16, 2026, 4:45 PM

Lol

@environmicrobio.bsky.socialOct 16, 2026, 1:07 PM

Thanks for the correction. (Separately, how is the webiste partisan? Going over the abstract, the conclusions seems the same? 90% failrate).

@environmicrobio.bsky.socialOct 16, 2026, 1:37 AM

I will consider it!

@environmicrobio.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 11:30 PM

to be honest, it is harder thanniy sounds because we would need to make a sign-up sheet and create an email list serve because I cannot simply put a Zoom link in public because we’re gonna get Zoomed bombed

@environmicrobio.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 11:26 PM

It’s not. If more people are interested, we could do it.

@environmicrobio.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 11:03 PM

I’m not sure what you’re asking. But I assume you mean the list of speakers? That can be found here: tbi.montana.edu/tbi-seminar/...

They temporarily lost an enrichment culture of Asgard archaea.

@environmicrobio.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 8:01 PM

Well, these people always existed. In the past, they wrote incoherent random letters. Now they use AI.

@environmicrobio.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 7:06 PM

Looking forward to trying out out soon, I hope!

@environmicrobio.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 7:06 PM

Laziness, lack of intellectual curiosity, and low ethical standards.

@environmicrobio.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 7:05 PM

Some similar xp. I refuse to answer any emails written by/with help of AI. They clearly are not interested enough. Neither am I. #saynotoAI

@environmicrobio.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 6:08 PM

+1 on study. -1 for use of genAI.

I met my future postdoc advisor at the course. Faculty/directors became letter writers when I applied for faculty positions. I am still in (irregular) contact with several of co-students. I have been going back to Woods Hole nearly every year and a study site on which i built 3 proposals is there.

@environmicrobio.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 2:08 PM

This course is still the best scientific xp I had. I met Carl Woese, Norm Pace, and many other founders of (environmental) microbiology. Orr Shapiro’s and my research in our summer project gave me a corresponding author paper. At least 1/3, maybe more, of folks in my class r now tenured professors.

@environmicrobio.bsky.socialOct 15, 2026, 2:04 PM

Here the direct link to the study for folks who are interested. #saynotoAI intellicat.ai/traces/index...
