A Canadian study found teens in violent dating relationships had significantly higher odds of concussion.

A "spacey" or "checked out" girl after a fight with her boyfriend isn't just moody. She may have a brain injury. Let's teach the adults around her to notice.

Anxiety. Depression. Trouble focusing. Mood swings.

If a survivor of IPV has these symptoms, it could be a brain injury that nobody screened for.

Mental health care for survivors has to ask: Were you ever hit or strangled?

You can't treat what you don't ask about.

Save the date: Purple Thursday, October 15

On October 15, we’re wearing purple so she doesn’t have to.

A bruise can be easy to see. The brain injury caused by abuse? Not always.

Wear purple. Start a conversation. Help us make the unseen seen.

When we don’t expect a concussion to be connected to violence at home, from someone we know and trust, we can miss the signs.

This Concussion Awareness Week, take a closer look at what concussion can look like and what it can mean for survivors of IPV.

Odds are, you know someone who's experienced intimate partner violence.

Knowing what to look for is an important first step in getting her the care and support she needs.

Truth means facing the realities of violence — and listening to the people who experience it.

Indigenous women face disproportionately high rates of intimate partner violence (IPV).

Reconciliation requires more than knowing the truth. It requires acting on it.

For survivors of IPV, peace means more than being free from violence. It means safety, support, being believed and understood—and having space to heal and move forward. That’s why #TogetherWeThrive matters: connection, learning and healing, together. #IPV #IPVBI #GBV

On Overdose Awareness Day, we honour lives lost and recognize the complex stories behind them. For many, substance use is connected to trauma, chronic stress, and unrecognized brain injury. Compassion, early recognition, and integrated care can change outcomes. #OverdoseAwarenessDay #EndGBV
