Still time to get tickets for this event in Jedburgh on Thursday. Part of the wonderful Borders Walking Festival. Come along if you’re in the area!
I’m really looking forward to this: the first event of several in the next few weeks for Women, Walking. First up I’m with Josie Giles whose gorgeous essay opens up the collection. Come join us at Lighthouse Books in Edinburgh next week:
Oooooh thank you!
Yes! I’ve got these in another chapter: very excited to read your take on them. Congratulations on the book!!
I’m looking for examples of walking used in protest or resistance in Scotland. I have the suffragette march in Edinburgh in 1909 and the hunger marches of the 1930s, but is there anything earlier? And what about later? All pointers gratefully received
