Anti-bike asshole throws nails and tacks into bike lane, today in Toronto; drivers say "not all drivers".
Driver runs a red light; drivers say "not all drivers".
Cyclist runs a red light; drivers say "all cyclists."
It makes me so sad to live in a place that values expensive deadly SUVs over human life.

> The MTO intends to violate their construction permit and begin work during the day to remove bike lanes. If you can, head down to the area but if not await urgent call outs for more info on when the removals are starting so […]
UPDATE: bike lane removal happening NOW, Bloor east of Islington, backup wanted!
(Via Cycle Toronto on FB)
Some construction crews did show up at Bloor and Green Lanes, but they just left. We still need to stay vigilant and call out ATS Traffic for their role in endangering those who bike. #BikeTO #TOpoli #ONpoli #VisionZero

@bobjonkman Interesting, thanks for sharing!
Remember how one of the most surprising COVID-19 symptoms was losing one's sense of taste, or smell? I think I may have a weird Long COVID symptom: my sense of smell is short-circuiting. Regularly (at least monthly), when exposed to some smells, the smell stays "live" in my nose, and I continue […]
@jerome I'm not clear on this actually. The websites I found don't make this explicit, so it could be that funding is entirely separate from how you are listed now?

@jerome Oh there's interesting - I would have hoped that franco-ontarien voters would stay in that lane to show support for the French school system and school funding. Just in case you're not aware, you retain eligibility to vote for French Public trustees for life, regardless of family members […]
Former Mayor David Miller, thrashing Bradford’s plan to make it easier for our water system to be privatized: “I have to admit — I did not expect conservatives to argue that the City has too little debt.“

I strongly support reelecting Olivia Chow over that power-hungry unprincipled turncoat Ford Fordford McFordington. That said, holy cow they have turned up the vote reminder volume. Two calls and a text just in the last hour. I’m starting to worry.
Today’s the last day for advance voting. I was in and out in 30 seconds. #VoteTO
Do you like doing surveys about transportation? Researchers at McGill are looking at the ways people get around their cities and regions - if you're interested, check it out!
This is the same discussion as autonomous vehicles - "oh no we have no way to ever charge a computer with murder for running down pedestrians, so I guess we better give up". This is not complicated.
Let's see ol' blinky wiggle their way past this one!
“Wine in the Wilderness” at Canadian Stage tonight was lovely. Congrats Jamar Adams-Thompson, Mazin Elsadig, Virgilia Griffith, Andrew Moodie, L.A. Sweeney, and director Jordan Laffrenier on your wonderful show […]
