Awesome day out with Peter’s Paperboys running Hastings with 16,000 minis at Partizan. Kudos to the 28 volunteers who snipped soldiers for the game and cheers to our Midgard Heroic Battles veterans who turned up to make the game run smoothly. #miniatures #wargaming #spreadthelard #nerdlings #1066

Busy afternoon but Hastings 960 is set up and ready to go at The Other Partizan! Impossible to fit it all in one shot so here’s a 40 second video. #miniatures #wargaming #nerdlings #spreadthelard #midgardheroicbattles #1066

An unusual last minute task for The Other Partizan - putting together a cardboard turn counter candle to help us keep track of time on what’s going to be a busy game! This is adapted from one included in the Helion 1066 book by Peter Dennis. #miniatures #wargaming #spreadthelard #nerdlings

Not only that, the game combines both 2D and 3D miniatures (‘flatties and lumpies’ as they are known by Peter’s Paperboys). If you fancy joining in for a bit, you’ll find Lewis and Pete near the Lard Zone , Hastings 960 and Writer’s Corner.

The game changes the usual focus at Rorke’s Drift, instead having four different Zulu commands that compete against each other to gain the most Reputation for heroically charging the (umpire-controlled) British and breaching the defences.

The fourth and final Midgard Heroic Battles game at The Other Partizan this weekend is a bit of a wild card. Midgard fan Lewis has long been obsessed with the movie Zulu, so here we find the rules being pushed forwards to 1879!

Unfortunate gastric news means that Lardy Rich won’t be able to trade at The Other Partizan - we wish him a speedy recovery. As a result, he has a flash sale on the Two Fat Lardies website of 20% off everything until Sunday. #miniatures #wargaming #spreadthelard #nerdlings toofatlardies.co.uk/shop/

With all their characteristic colour and spectacle, Boondock Sayntes are bringing Third Panipat 1761 (see Ian’s poster for the details of this astonishing Indian battle). You can find them in the Lard Zone this time around. #miniatures #wargaming #spreadthelard #midgardheroicbattles #nerdlings

The third Midgard Heroic Battles game at The Other Partizan this Sunday is not your everyday Midgard scrap. #miniatures #wargaming #spreadthelard #midgardheroicbattles #nerdlings

The second Midgard Heroic Battles game appearing at The Other Partizan on Sunday 11th October is the work of Matt Slade, who’s diving into Narnia. You’ll find Matt (and his Turkish delight) in the Lard Zone. #miniatures #wargaming #midgardheroicbattles #spreadthelard #nerdlings
