I'm interested in climate research, systemic change in our food system and the transition to a sustainable world. Focused on monetary policy and central banking in a previous life.

Due to **declining soil quality**, nutrients in fruit & vegetables are sharply lower

Researchers at Deep Science Ventures found twice the fruit & veg need to be eaten today to get the same level of minerals like potassium, magnesium or copper than 60 yrs ago

Where might we make the most progress on climate change?

Where positive "tipping points" could happen.

68% of voters want the US to take ambitious action on climate change!

Respondents were asked to choose between two statements related to the U.S.’s role in global climate leadership, with a bipartisan majority (68%) selecting the following statement: “The United States should take ambitious action to address climate change, even if other countries do not. We should lead the world on this issue and set the example for other countries to follow suit.”

In contrast, just 25% of voters prefer the following statement: “If other countries do not take action to address climate change, the United States should not either. It is not fair for us to act while other countries contributing to the problem are sitting still.”

Despite political polarization reaching a historic high in recent years, Americans aren’t divided on ensuring clean air and water for every community. As the U.S. celebrates Earth Day, many Americans say the holiday holds personal importance and want the U.S. to prioritize clean air and water for all and take ambitious action on climate change.

The cryosphere is in trouble due to climate change, and it's accelerating loss. "Glaciologists in the Alps considered 2% of ice lost in a single year to be 'extreme'. This year has seen an estimated 5.5% disappear."

I'm not sure if y'all saw a CNN report on how the US had almost started WW3 with China based on fabricated information generated by a chatbot, claiming that a Chinese vessel was carrying components of nuclear weapons.

That was an "existential threat" to humanity

The US Senate finds that the fossil fuel industry received $190 billion in tax breaks and subsidies from the Trump regime in exchange for campaign donations. The deregulation and subsidies have increased both energy costs for Americans and the damage from climate change and air and water pollution.

No one would be able to say this stuff if the fossil fuel industry didn't own both the people saying it *and* the media ecosystem reporting it. But here we are.

It seems that you can get Pass as a standalone product for business, but maybe best to contact them if you have specific requirements as a business. Good luck in your search; great to see you take a principled stance. proton.me/business/pas...

Use proton apps, like proton pass. I'm very happy with those apps (e-mail is also very good privacy-wise). If you want $20 off, I can give you a referral link, but obviously you can also sign-up without (not doing this for money).

Please read this report of the Dutch CPB which concludes the proposed changes will lead to "significantly higher emissions and barely lower energy costs" and "make other forms of support for the industry less effective." www.cpb.nl/publicatie/v...

So basically, the proposed EU ETS changes will result in a massive increase in emissions and barely any so-called "positive" impacts for industry. It even, quote: "the European Commission's proposals make other forms of support to the industry less effective." @wopkehoekstra.ec.europa.eu
