I was SO nervous before my author event at this school. But once I started, it felt amazing talking to these wonderful kids. One of the biggest thrills & surprises of writing The Blue Dress has been the opportunity to talk to so many young people. It's been a beautiful & meaningful experience. 💙

When the elementary school your kids went to is displaying your book w/an announcement of your author visit!!! SO surreal. I’m still incredibly surprised & grateful that this book that means so much to me & tells the story of my childhood is out in the world. 🩵

Listen to this, I was on a plane & heard the woman behind me say she was a librarian. I turned & told her about my book. She said she'd just ordered it!!!! I was like, what!? She said, yes & recounted the whole summary of MY BOOK. Life is kind of awesome sometimes!
