This decision is not the last word, and the fight against the death penalty in this case will continue.

BREAKING: The New Hampshire Supreme Court has ruled that the “disproportionality” of the death penalty cannot be reviewed for Michael Addison — a Black man who is the state’s only person on death row. He was sentenced to die before NH repealed the death penalty in 2019.

The government should not be able to surveil and monitor you in your own home and we won’t stop fighting for Granite Staters currently living in this dystopian reality.

These devices, which have even been installed above some residents’ beds, can detect everything from the sound of a person’s morning alarm clock to motion data that could reflect intimate acts.

Our right to privacy does not come with an income requirement, period.

That’s why we’re suing the Concord Housing and Redevelopment Authority for installing surveillance devices, called Minut Monitors, in hundreds of public housing apartments units in New Hampshire. www.nhpr.org/nh-news/2026...

That data is stored indefinitely and available to CHRA employees on demand. This dystopian surveillance must end. The government has no right to monitor us in the privacy of our own homes.

@aclu-nh.bsky.socialSep 2, 2026, 7:38 PM

These devices log tenants' movements and noise levels and can estimate how many people they have over, then records all of it into a database on a minute-by-minute basis, creating a picture of intimate details about peoples’ lives.

BREAKING: We're suing the Concord Housing and Redevelopment Authority over its installation of invasive surveillance devices known as Minut Monitors in hundreds of residents’ apartments. Since late 2024, CHRA has amassed hundreds of millions of data points from inside people’s homes.

The largest police agency in the state is entered into an agreement to cooperate with ICE, but at the same time, are not sharing information that is required under NH’s Right-to-Know Law — so we sued. www.concordmonitor.com/2026/08/26/a...
