Thank you Jeff! I will share that I was definitely not hand picked by Rashi. No great pro-housing candidates stepped up. So I decided to run. And Rashi recognized I was the strongest on the issues she cares about most. And I am without hesitation the strongest on housing at all levels.
“There’s strong evidence that bike lanes are good for local businesses, and my guess is that a year after installation, most people won’t even remember why this was such a big fight,” Bernet said. That’s right. Let’s go 💪🚲
Housing policy is climate policy and I’m grateful for the endorsement of an organization that really gets that. 🙏🌞
Can confirm.
Berkeley should elect this Ross Bernet guy to the District 1 city council seat, the dude clearly knows algebra www.berkeleyscanner.com/2026/09/24/e...
That’s great to hear! Thanks for sharing. And thanks for being such an awesome volunteer. This race will be won and lost at the doors. And every conversation matters.
Thank you to the amazing volunteers who have come out to knock doors for me - some week after week! It is truly humbling. In the face of so many big challenges at all levels of government, we are fortunate to get to participate in democracy to make our values known and fight for a better future 🙏
Hmmm. Almost like….building apartments….helps lower rent??!
Come hang out with me and the Berkeley Firefighters on Friday at Hammerling wine for @gilmandistrict.bsky.social First Fridays! TGIF
Californians: you're going to hear about the Starter Home Revitalization Act a lot over the next few years. In short, it legalizes small-lot infill ownership homes (ie townhomes and cottage courts) by-right everywhere housing is allowed, with strict approval deadlines similar to those for ADUs.
Thank you for all your work Emilie! Local news is essential for a functional democracy.
Supply and demand….does apply to housing??!!? 🤔🤔🤔

I’m running for City Council to get back to the basics: • Pave our roads • Safe infrastructure • Tackle the deferred maintenance backlog • Deliver safety upgrades for everyone Decades of neglect left us with a $250M+ pavement backlog. Let’s build safe, smooth streets across Berkeley! 🚴 🚦 🚗
Thank you for publishing this @berkeleyscanner.com Read about all five candidates here:
Couldn’t have said it better myself! Thanks for your leadership @adenaishii.bsky.social ! “Doing Business in Berkeley” is exactly the talk title I am most excited to hear about right now. Let’s increase our tax base so we can support all the other amazing things we want to do 💪
I meet too many people who complain that transit needs to be better in Berkeley.
We have negligent AC transit directors abdicating their responsibility rather than focusing on their jobs. It’s no wonder it’s not better.
Make sure to vote @valencia4actransit.bsky.social
And thank Jean Walsh!
