Nice tool to quickly visualize transit isochrones in many cities:
tram.camilleroux.com/montreal/?fr...

LEFT: how far you can get in 60 minutes from the CÉGEP Marie-Victorin (12 km from B-UQAM)
vs
RIGHT: Sunnybrooke (17 km from B-UQAM).

Marie-Victorin was supposed to get a REM de l'Est station

it’s sad to see that some politicians are willing to compromise the safety of vulnerable road users "City councillor Alexandre Teodoresco said the borough weighed all its options before concluding that removing one lane in winter was the best 'compromise.'"

a second borough in #montreal wants to remove a bike path during the winter 🫠

"The Côte-des-Neiges—Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough intends to remove one side of the Terrebonne St. bike lanes this winter to make room for more parking."

this is proof that you can’t turn a street into a shared street simply by adding a few traffic signs. cars usually go above the 20 km/h (12 mi/h) speed limit here and i’ve never seen pedestrians use the whole width of the street.

📍 saint-hubert plaza, #montreal

commercial street with two sidewalks, a lane of parking and a live traffic lane. there are two signs indicating that it’s a shared street, but the design of the street doesn’t incite pedestrians to use the whole space.

i still remember my quick visit in winnipeg in 2025. it was like 7 or 8 pm in the evening, and I couldn't find a single place downtown where i could buy a bus ticket. i managed to get on the bus thanks to a city worker who gave me a special paper they usually give to homeless people.

Bike lanes are for more than just cyclists!

The TTC says more than 60,000 used the Scarborough Busway on its first day of operations this week. The four-kilometer route runs from Kennedy Station to Ellesmere along the route of the decommissioned Scarborough RT. #ToPoli

the stm used my suggestion! they got inspiration from vancouver and installed an observation deck with fun facts and windows to look at the blue line extension construction. you can find it at parc de talcy on ave de la roche-yvon. #montreal #stminfo

@emmacardinal.comSep 30, 2026, 1:51 AM

zut!

@emmacardinal.comSep 30, 2026, 1:32 AM
