I mowed the lawn and changed the oil in the WRX.
I picked up lunch so that @patred.bsky.social could watch the Nebraska game. (sadly, the Huskers lost. Hoosier Bear was happy).
I made a fire in the firepit and read a bit from Outsider by Bob Doucette.

Gorgeous. I aspire to that kind of daily drive. I do get to drive through DC at night generally once a week, and while it's cool to see the Capitol Building all lit up at night, the current political climate makes it less awe-inspiring than it could be. #ParkChat

I have not traveled *to* a National Park (or other park) *by* train, but earlier this year, I traveled to an NPS site to *see* a train! And I also road a train at that same site, back in 2017, along with the #404Family on our way to Acadia. #ParkChat

For my newer followers, we'll still #ParkChat with the hashtag through the week. 10/14 will be the live chat, w/ 10 questions, 1 every 5min, starting at 9:00PM Eastern. You don't have to participate live though! Heck, even us ParkChat Hall of Famers get "behind" with answering when the chat is lit!

I guess whether it gets signed depends on if there is something in that area that could be plundered by oligarchs. Hopefully it passes. Nowadays, since National Parks are determined by Congress, it might be safer for the public land to be a NP vs a NM. #ParkChat
