Heyo, thanks! Definitely caught me off guard and I'm glad I went looking into it! I think the only other reasonable source of info I found was in a Russian Playstation magazine I found online whilst searching for info. Absolutely more than welcome to use the footage! :)

I was focusing on Rock-it as a company for their abysmal handling of this release, as they'll have their dirty paws on other releases from other developers too, but I am aware that Argonaut have been revealed to be (unfortunately) closely tied up in some particularly nasty and damaging things. :S

Obligatory alternative for me 😛

Been seeing this 9 games thing pop up a bit at the moment, and I honestly had to take a moment to think about what to include. There's so many more I could add, but I think I've spent the most of my gaming life playing these titles... I guess I just like racing games 😅

It really is. I've still not played it as a result :') Never ordered an LRG release, hell I don't really buy modern games, this was a super rare exception, but I've heard enough horror stories of LRG to never trust them, but even by their standards, Rock It are doing a good job at playing catchup 🙃

This works... Right? 😅 Joking aside, yeah, thinking of just 9 that "shaped me" really is a challenge, though it has definitely highlighted I'm a fan of racing games above all else!

My only comforting thought is knowing that they're having to swallow a notably higher shipping cost to get it to me than I originally had to pay.

They're supposedly in the final throws of actually getting things out the door and people have at least (finally) received copies of the standard physical release. Getting a refund at this point seems pointless, as I still want what I paid for and the money has obviously long since been spent on it!

When I pre-ordered back in 2024, I wasn't aware of this. I haven't wish listed/pre-ordered the upcoming Croc 2 remaster.

Friendly reminder to never give this company your money. Physical media may be important, but it's only important if you actually get it. I pre-ordered the Collectors Edition on 31st October 2024. Rock-It still haven't shipped any CE's just shy of 2 years later.

WipEout Omega Collection - Korean / Region 3 version, still sealed. I don't know if there are any differences in the gameplay besides the language. I've got more variants of Omega collection than any other WipEout game in the series now!

US advert for WipEout XL. I'd love to know the marketing decision behind this... "Hey, people loved this antigravity racer, how should we market this new bigger and better game?" "MORE PISS."

The Designs Republic & Verdant Brewery TDR:ink collectors 10-pack of cans. Featuring a couple of WipEout themed cans, there was no-way I could pass this up! This one caught me totally off guard, but I'm glad I grabbed it while I could... which was a very short period of time!!

I haven't watched the attempt with sound, but I choose to believe it sounds like: >dirt_bike.wav >rev_limit.wav >frying_pan_to_face.wav >crowd_oof.wav >floornoise.wav Sucks it seems broken, but bad motorcross games are, I think, all of them, regardless of platform. I don't envy you playing them ;_;

ECTS 1999 Playstation Upcoming games catalogue. This book, with its velcro fastening flap, contains release info on arguably some of the best games to hit the PS1. Wip3out, Spyro 2, Crash Team Racing, Gran Turismo 2, Ace Combat 3, Final Fantasy VIII. Well packed out this one!
