Quite good: cook, reader, procrastinator. Decent: mom, writer, teacher. Terribly bad: athlete, winker, cat trainer. Reposts are jokes I wish I'd made first.
Not at all. You’re just in good company.

Played the long game in grad school by getting married over fall break and now have an anniversary that’s always right around fall break! Good job, tiny baby Stephanie.
Lots of great writing about this (I work on legal personhood). I recommend Lisa Siraganian’s new book from Verso! In short: you’re absolutely right.
I’ve heard reports too
Just learned my book is already on the production schedule! Look for How Austen Works* in Fall 2027. *Or whatever marketing decides to change it to!
*swoon*!
Ugh yes same
no and no some more
Is it wrong of me to feel smug? As if somehow the triumph is shared?
Banner day for people who were denied tenure!
Mine says “slowly building a collection of premium art supplies.” Correct!
I think a lot of mine from him are books he was reading just before retirement (with a magnifying glass!). Huge circles and carats all over the place.
Seems bad!
When he retired, he opened his office to the grad students (after the library had a crack at it) to take books. My best score was his replica Johnson’s dictionary. (But I miss that bookstore. It had a fire! Not sure of the status now…)
My Carson Day reading is Allen Grossman’s copy of Eros, the Bittersweet. (“Loving, Knowing”)
Really pleased about Carson because it reminds me I still have time to get way weirder.
Found him! @jonathanhealey.bsky.social!
Sorry, *Healey*! This one. Thanks for the rec, @drewdaniel.bsky.social.
Solid band name.
