I love it when groups I support collaborate, and its great to see @sierraclub.org encourage its members and supporters to help @environmentalvoter.bsky.social get out the vote. More than 11 million registered voters who rank the environment as a top issue didn't vote last cycle - let's change that!

I'm honored to join this @coveringclimatenow.org briefing on Wednesday at 12pm ET. Please join me, Matto Mildenberger, and Kate Yoder for what should be a deeply nerdy and interesting discussion of climate politics and public opinion!
Our Executive Director joined historian @ruthbenghiat.bsky.social on a Substack Live to discuss (a) the nexus of fossil fuels and authoritarianism, (b) why "climate hushers" are dead wrong, and (c) how organized labor and environmentalists can unite. Check it out!
NYT reported six months ago that SCOTUS internal deliberations on blocking Obamaโs signature climate plan involved no discussion of any specific law or precedent. This morning, the MAGA-majority Supreme Court will consider blocking every climate accountability lawsuit in state courts nationwide.
Today, the Supreme Court will begin the fall session by hearing the case about climate accountability and if localities can sue Big Oil.
Itโs the first case and begins at 10am ET. Streaming should be here: www.supremecourt.gov/oral_argumen...
