Today marks eight years since the gruesome murder of journalist #JamalKhashoggi, who was assassinated and dismembered by a team of Saudi agents. His body has never been found.

In light of the total absence of justice for the murder, we continue to call for #JusticeForJamal.

Her case is one of several in recent years in which Saudi authorities have continued to detain political prisoners even after completing their sentences. Besides inflicting further injustice after years of arbitrary imprisonment, it creates fear that they may be retried.

It's been seven years since the arrest of journalist and writer Maha al-Rafidi.

Despite her prison sentence expiring over a year ago, she remains arbitrarily detained and subjected to ill-treatment.

It is a colossal political failure to have encouraged the UAE to buy up swathes of the British economy and prized cultural assets like Manchester City while evidence of its greed and brutality and contempt for the rule of law was all around.

Today Saudi authorities executed another Nigerian woman on drug-related charges, the third of 2026 and the ninth over the last two years.

Yesterday Saudi authorities executed three more Ethiopian nationals on "hashish smuggling" charges. These come despite the recent announcement that 2000 Ethiopians detained in Saudi Arabia received royal pardons. It was unclear when the pardons were granted or which detainees got them.
