Hard agree. What mystery? Our most effective communicators enumerate uncomfortable facts and what the line of demarcation for decency is. When the opposition is anything but civil (and seemingly genuinely evil), they are due no civility in discourse. That is why they are effective. More please!

Nine noncitizen votes out of 3.25 million: about 1 in 361,500. That’s the realm of lightning-strike odds. Nobody leaves the house every morning worried about being struck by lightning—so why pretend noncitizen voting at that scale is a threat to our elections? Ridiculous.

Unqualified observer here: I can see why it concerns you. Your analysis scares me too. I see no way that any organization (especially THAT one) can reduce complexity simply by wishing it weren’t so—or by preventing those who surely MUST think through such things from doing so.
