Mass deportations have always been part of an authoritarian agenda.

The Trump administration continues to fuel violence and undermine our democratic system of checks and balances.

We'll keep fighting these lawless efforts to strip people of their rights.

Life gets busy! But eligible voters are locked out of the polls if they miss an arbitrary registration deadline.

We can change that by voting YES on Question 4 for Election Day Registration.

In our latest report, we identified 76 ways that the Trump administration's mass deportation agenda is making our democracy increasingly unrecognizable. We've also laid out the roadmap for the next Congress to investigate this onslaught on our civil rights and course correct.

Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley is voting YES on Question 4 for Election Day Registration!

Massachusetts is often described as the birthplace of American democracy, and it’s time our election laws reflect that.

@bostonglobe.com has endorsed YES on Ballot Question 4!

Every eligible voter should be able to cast a ballot that counts. Voting YES on Question 4 will make that possible.

Raids and deportations tear our communities apart. This is not public safety — this is chaos.

Organizations like Pioneer Valley Workers Center are stepping up to support immigrants with trainings, resources and reminding their neighbors: we are in this fight together.

Massachusetts elections are secure and efficient.

Election Day Registration maintains these high standards and would restore those voters' voices and let them cast a ballot they know will be counted!

Read more on why Election Day Registration matters: www.aclum.org/news/ballot-...

A carousel post in blue and red color with star ornaments and an arrow that directs to right. The first graphic text reads, "Have questions about Election Day Registration? We've got you covered. Yes on 4!" 2nd graphic text reads: What would Election Day Registration accomplish? State law currently requires people to register at least 10 days before an election. This is an arbitrary cutoff that prevents eligible citizens from voting if (when!) life gets busy and they miss the registration deadline.3rd graphic text reads: Is Election Day Registration
a partisan issue? It shouldn't be! People of all parties have busy lives and miss Massachusetts' arbitrary registration deadline. And people of all parties forget to update their registration when they move or get married and change their names."A carousel post in blue and red color with star ornaments. The fourth slide of the graphic text reads: How does Election Day Registration impact election security? People registering on Election Day would follow the same requirements. In fact, people registering on Election Day have one extra requirement: Instead of just checking a box to affirm that they're a citizen, they must sign an oath of eligibility. Providing false information on that oath is a felony, subject to a punishment by up to 5 years in jail and a $10,000 fine."

NEW: We released a report detailing how President Trump’s mass deportation machine is undermining our democracy in at least 76 ways. Silencing critics, consolidating presidential power, gutting longstanding legal protections, and ignoring due process puts everyone’s rights under threat.

As ICE arrests increase and the number of people in detention has hit a record high again of over 70,000, immigrant communities can’t wait another second.

Constituents can’t wait until Congress is back in session. Urge your representatives to stop this escalation at aclu.org/stop-ice_killings

Flock and ALPRs are building an omnipresent digital dragnet without democratic consent, enabling law enforcement to track people across the country with the click of a mouse.

Communities are fighting back against these creepy cameras, and we are winning!

All students have a First Amendment right to read and learn about the history and viewpoints of all communities — including their own identity — inside and outside of the classroom.

Librarians make that happen each and every day.

YES on ballot question 4 will make sure every eligible citizen in Massachusetts can register to vote and cast their ballot on Election Day.

Election Day Registration is a common-sense reform that will protect and expand the right to vote.
