It's not "excuses" if I'm just looking at what the show explicitly shows. I understand malding over Lanterns because it's not the show you wanted, but labeling it as a "legit" criticism misses the forest for the trees with what the show is actually about. It's a mix of bad faith and media illiteracy

Taking into account how little she knew about the Manhunters and GL, it makes sense from her POV; she didn't know if Hal was going to possibly hurt Noah, just like with Zoe. It's an example of Kerry giving in to her fears, paying the consequences by killing the one guy who cared for her

I find it interesting how you frame it all so black-and-white, because it's easy to argue that Hal was in the wrong for approaching Kerry with his usual reckless spiel, telling her she needs to move, without calmly discussing things with her. Are we not allowed to have moral ambiguity in a GL show?

So what? Kerry's a cop. Who's gonna arrest her? Besides, it misses the point that Lanterns is about how families act within systems that only empower the top. John's, Noah's, and Hal's, to an extent, follow this example, with John breaking the cycle by giving Noah the choice to choose for himself

So what? The show doesn't exempt Macon as an antagonist; he's still a bad guy. Zoe's an alien parasite who purposely chose to be brown to explicitly lie in hiding. The show isn't saying minorities are evil, there's no reason to act as if this show is some Daily Wire shit

The pacing was fucked up by the timeskip in episode 6, but eh
