I swear to god, Schmitt looks like the kind of government official who is plotting to exterminate the X-Men.

I miss the days when my senator(s) weren't perpetual embarrassments. Jesus H. Christ, what "dirtbags" they both are. Schmitt may even be worse than Hawley, but they're neck and neck.

I read a LOT of Wellman when I was younger. The first thing was "Owls Hoot in the Daytime" in Kirby McCauley's Dark Forces anthology, then the 80s novels (which were conveniently offered by the SFBC), and finally the Night Shade editions. Have you seen the Silver John movie?

Or, if you dig Dr. Caligari, the director's hardcore version of the same aesthetic, Cafe Flesh.

It might be fun if it was in original pronunciation. The audience would all wonder why the actors were all talking like pirates.
