and away from earlier theatricality. That's definitely something that some people find hard to engage with. There are some movies from the 30s-50s that feel wildly modern and might be a better entry-point than others

There are a lot of factors to consider here, I think the place to start would be finding out what 60s and earlier movies OP has seen. Of course, I'd say the style of 60s movies vs 30s movies is vastly different. 70s onwards definitely stared to trend towards more naturalistic acting and speech...

I saw a movie at Nitehawk this week, we tried to do the QR code thing and could not figure out how to close out at the end cause it just kept bringing you back to the home screen

Yeah, sandwiches would always be soggy by lunch time and I just couldn't handle the mushy bread texture

I went through phases, so I'd bring the same thing for lunch everyday for several weeks in a row, and then it'd become a different lunch. Through most of high school it was hummus and veggies/crackers cause I always knew the texture/consistency wouldn't be gross by the time I ate

I just picked up a copy of The Woman in White, saving it to be a real winter read

This review is so bisexual

I'd be game, and I'm an actor

amanda knows more about murder than almost anyone I know so go listen to/watch MMF or she'll be forced to put that knowledge to use...

I called it!

Seriously, my guests for October are amazing!

Bonnie and Clyde month has come to a close. I have watched some really interesting movies, but no amount of fake Kevin Costner accounts following me on Bluesky will ever make me like The Highwaymen

It’s time for Bonnie & Clyde: Justified (2013) on the main feed. This movie begs the question: how many sepia-toned slideshows is too many? Special guest Jarrod Hornbeck of Puppet Masters/Castle Freaks joins to discuss. Listen wherever you get your podcasts or watch on YouTube

What are the other 9?

Nightmares... yeah... right.... that's how I felt about him
