Hey, you rock. Was great meeting and speaking with you that night. And I loved listening to you read your work as well!
The New York Public Library just published their 2026 Best New Horror for Adults list, and we are honored to have NEVER WHISTLE AT NIGHT, PART II: BACK FOR BLOOD included amongst so many other great horror titles. Long live libraries! Make use of them whenever you can; librarians are amazing.
Out in trade paperback and ebook with an audiobook soon to follow. It’s available wherever you shop for books. Here’s a link to get you started: www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/829198...
Wishing Kimberly Blaeser a happy pub day for her prose debut: RED ANTS. It’s an amazing story collection that I had the pleasure of acquiring for Counterpoint Press and editing. It was longlisted for the National Book Awards which is an amazing achievement in itself.
It’s October 1st. Let’s go…
It’s always wild to revisit episodes of The X-Files featuring Floyd Red Crow Westerman, cuz I’m just like, hey, there’s my grandpa’s friend.
SOMETHING FOLLOWED US HOME IS AVAILABLE NOW!! 💗 THANK YOU STEPHEN GRAHAM JONES!!
Very much looking forward to chilling with Joey and talking comedy and horror. ICYMI, I wrote the foreword for this awesome book he’s putting out. Seeing his release-day comedy show, too, up in LA the night before at the Elysian Theater.

I’ll be in conversation with @shanehawk.com (Never Whistle At Night) about my Native history comedy book, his work and all things Native laughs and scares!
This was a real fun one. Bookstr asked me and three other editors about the process of creating anthologies. Maybe someday I can edit my dream anthology I describe at the end of the article…
Yeah, all the stories are so good in their own ways. Nice picks. Any from the second anthology?
Love Richard’s story!
Camp-free adult horror with blood and guts and unrelenting dread
Like this post if you’d watch a NEVER WHISTLE AT NIGHT television series. Reply with which stories you’d love to see adapted.
Highly recommend reading this new study published last month when you can find the time.
Just for a quick bandage, I changed the lightning color to a near-black, so that helps a lot. I’ll look into toggles and other options when I can :) Thanks for the help and kind words
Oh ok ok I get it! I’ll do my best. Thank you 😄
Thanks for pointing that out. I love the lightning effect, but if it disturbs people’s access to reading, maybe I’ll just remove it
I do the same! Okay good to know. I tend to default linking the NWAN anthologies on my site to PRH’s landing pages only because from there it links back out to all their partners, including where I’d love readers to buy from: BookshopOrg and LibroFM :)
